The Blurb:

Crystal Cove is where wishes come true.

For Kris Nichols, he’s hoping that’s more than the tag-line on the quaint sign welcoming you to the picturesque town. Kris is a believer in romance. He hopes this holiday season he finds his own romance. Outside the pages of the romance books he writes.

Emma Snow might be a real life Angel. She’s also smoking sexy and makes him want to do devilish things to her. After a year of falling for each other, while keeping each other at a safe distance, will this Christmas bring them the gift they both want?

Love?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Snow Angel” Crystal Cove Holidays Book One is by author Dee Ellis

Told in Kris’ POV with the epilogue in Emma’s

Kris Nichols and Emma Snow…..

“Snow Angel” was adorable AND dirty at the same time. If you’re looking for a quick Christmas romance with a sugary sweet, innocent heroine, and an over-the-top, sexy, dirty talking alpha hero, I recommend this novella.

When Kris first sets eyes on Emma, he is instantly in lust. Love comes pretty quickly after that. Unfortunately, Kris was a bit insecure when it came to Emma. He was afraid he’d push her away if she knew the intensity of his feelings for her. Kris was not only in love with Emma. He was consumed by his feelings for her. So he pined for her nearly a year, keeping their relationship in the friend zone. Unbeknownst to Kris, Emma was just as consumed by her own feelings for him. Even though Emma was shy, unpretentious and started off a little demur, she soon became the go-getter. To Kris’ surprise and relief, Emma made the first move and took the kiss they both longed for, for nearly a year. Emma didn’t want to wait another minute. That kiss started a passion, a fire that couldn’t be doused. Kris and Emma were great together. Their intimacy was anything but tame. Those two couldn’t keep their hands off each other; getting down and dirty anywhere and everywhere. So, yes, this story may be sweet and fun but it was also Hot, hot, hot!

Can’t wait for the next book in the Crystal Cove Holiday series…..!

Polar bear shifter Mark Halverson has been in love with Tracey since the moment he first laid eyes on her. After their shared kiss, pride kept him from claiming her the next day, but he couldn’t let her go. Through time and patience, he waits for her to realize their connection and give him another chance.

When Tracey decides to ask Santa to help her get over the past and find another mate, Mark realizes he’s been silent for too long. With the big man’s help, he has three days to make amends and convince his tiny fox he can be the mate she deserves.

My Review:

Silent Bear (North Pole, #2)Silent Bear by Ruby Shae

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sweet and sexy Christmas Romance.
“Silent Bear” North Pole Series Two is by Ruby Shae.
Published: November 15,, 2014
Read: December 12, 2016
My Rating: 4 Stars

I absolutely love Ruby Shae’s bears. All of her novellas are steady to fast paced and can be read in a couple of hours. Her heroines are typically voluptuous and curvy; just what her large bear shifters are looking for in their mates. Ruby’s heroes are largely built, sexy, tough, protective and loyal. Ruby is an author I like to keep an eye on.

The premise of the North Pole series is how the polar bear shifters of the North Pole find their mates. Each bear has their own personality and they are all sexy! These polar bears are the enforcers/protectors of Santa’s village/town and all the humans and shifters that reside there. The cast of characters not only bring fun, love and romance, but there is witty banter and quirkiness with some light angst. And of course they all have HEAs.

Mark Halverson and Tracey Johnson…..

Mark is a polar bear shifter, an enforcer and protector of Santa’s village. For the past year he has been in love with his mate Tracey, an arctic fox shifter. One hot kiss, one misunderstanding later has a year of time wasted. Mark refuses to give up hope; he’s patient and there’s nothing more he wants than Tracey. She is his mate, his love, his to protect and cherish.

Tracey has been trying to gets Mark’s attention for a long time. One night a year ago, she’s finds the courage to confess her growing feelings to him. It seemed he felt the same way. They shared a life changing, passionate kiss but the next day Mark acted like it never happened. As a result, Tracey was heartbroken. Now a year after that scorching kiss, with no hope of Mark showing interest in Tracey, she is ready to give up.

Of course the adorable craziness begins and then they start to make progress. I really loved Mark! He was so sigh-worthy. And Tracey was kind and sweet. Together they made a fun and sexy couple.

This second book in this series was another winner for me; a perfect Christmas romance!

My Review:

Sweet RideSweet Ride by Dani Wyatt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Sweet Ride” is written by author Dani Wyatt.
Published: December 22, 2016
My Rating: 4 Stars

Ok, first I’m gonna say this book is a raunchy, sexy, instalove novella with a dirty-talkin’ alpha hero. Oh and did I mention he is covered in tats and rides a motorcycle? When it comes to his woman, CeeCee, Thorne suffers from OPD. (obsessive, possessive disorder. 😉 ) He is also sweet and romantic too. “Sweet Ride” had a little suspense and danger to make it an even better story. But that danger was no match for Thorne. No one messes with, or threatens what’s his.

Thorne and CeeCee…..

Thorne is an ex-felon that has turned his dishonest past into something amazing and prosperous. He is the owner of a chain of specialty donut shops. He has wealth and friends but something is missing in his life. Love. Thorne was ok with that because his new life is honest and successful so he won’t complain. But his resolved attitude changes quickly when he first sets eyes on a beautiful, curvy siren with a musical voice, and who’s proximity takes his breath away. Thorne wants this delicate, beautiful woman. In fact, without so much as speaking a single word to her, Thorne has decided she belongs to him. OPD at it’s finest!

CeeCee is guarded and cautious. She ran from the past and as a result is constantly looking over her shoulder. So it was a complete, but pleasant, surprise to her how easily Thorne crashed down the walls of her guarded heart.

What follows is a lot of dirty, steamy sex. Thorne and CeeCee are instantly finding themselves exclusive with each other. There is nothing or no one than can break their bond. But alas, a blast from the past threatens their happily ever after.

I won’t give any details away. This story is pretty short and fast-paced as well so you’ll want to experience Thorne and CeeCee’s “Sweet Ride” on your own.

I can tell you there is no cheating or angst; just a small bit of suspense and danger that is quickly resolved. The ending was sweet and I adored the two epilogues; they added even more sweetness to the story.

Review For: “Changing Lanes” Bounty County Series Book Two by Maren Lee

31932271-1

Genres:  Romance, Adult, Erotica, Light Suspense, Humor

Publishing Date:  January 1, 2017

Read:  December 21, 2016

Told in alternating POVs

ride-along “Ride Along” Book One

The Blurb:

Lane Bennett is the new hotshot lead public defender of Bounty County. A transplant from Chicago to Montana, Lane ran from the big city to escape a bad breakup, a far-too-stressful job, and all the anxiety issues that came along with it. But kicking ass and taking names as a small town public defender often pits her against the hottie Sheriff’s Department deputies. In order to win, she has to make them look bad. Lane, “the evil harpy,” as they call her, is not one of their favorites.

Sergeant Jake Hamilton is a veteran in the Bounty County Sheriff’s Department. He and Lane have walked along a rocky road since the first night they met. But after an alcohol-fueled evening resulting in rocking the bed with the sexy redheaded lawyer, Jake decides he is going to woo her.

Complicating matters, however, is that Lane is about to take on the biggest case of her career. A beloved city police officer was allegedly murdered by her client, a non-violent man with a heavy criminal past. But something doesn’t quite smell right and Lane begins to suspect corruption. The problem is, she needs the Sheriff’s Department to help her shore up her defense. And she needs Jake to protect her from the danger in which she suddenly finds herself.

Will Jake be able to convince Lane that their connection is more than just lust? Will the conflicts of interest be too much to handle? When a surprise rocks their world, will Jake step up and prove to be the man Lane simply cannot live without?

Changing Lanes is Book 2 of the Bounty County Series. Each book is standalone and can be read on its own, but it’s helpful to read the series in order to fully understand the characters.

WARNING: 18+ this book contains adult themes, explicit sex, and lots of swearing. Do not read this book if you don’t enjoy these things.

My Review:

Changing LanesChanging Lanes by Maren Lee

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Changing Lanes” – Bounty County Series Book Two – is by author Maren Lee.
Publish Date: January 1, 2017
My Rating: 5 Stars…..

Told in alternating POVs…..

Well! Having read the first book in this series, this one was exactly what I expected. Perfect, funny, erotic, (oh yeah!), with a bit of suspense and a cast of loyal, witty, characters. We meet some seriously sexy alpha men that will no doubt have their own novels soon. Looking forward to Wesson and Molly. I’m also feeling a strong Ryan and Katie vibe. (You hearing that, Maren? 🙂 )

“Changing Lanes” would be difficult to describe if someone told me I could only label it with a single genre description. It was so much more than simple romance. The chemistry between Jake and Lane was amazing. Their chemistry was scorching and existed from the beginning, even though they were NOT friends. It was some time before they actually became “exclusive.”

“Baby, I want us to be exclusive. Please don’t see other people,” he asked, sweetly.”

Jake was an incredible, attentive, protective, loyal and an as-sexy-as-you-can-get alpha hero. I loved him. I wanted him. I completely trusted that he was honest and sincere. Sometimes he was ridiculous, but I loved it.

“Holy shit. This man. Could he be anymore perfect? Ok, so not so perfect. Kind of a dick. But a sweet one. Not to mention hot. Good in the kitchen. You can’t go wrong here, Lane.”

Lane was a strong-minded and sassy heroine. Although I do admit that I have never described myself as a feminist, I related to some of the comments she made. Jake and Lane had a believable connection. Although there was a lot of it, their relationship became more than just sex. They cared deeply for each other. Oh and don’t get me started on the laughter. My God, they were funny! Some of the dialogue had me in stitches.

“Where’s you underwear, then?” she asked.

Honest questions deserve honest answers, Jake thought. “I don’t wear the.” He smiled.

“Like ever? That’s gross, Jake. Don’t your pants smell like balls?” Lane wrinkled her nose at the thought.

There is an element of suspense and mystery building in the background of the relationship development. The suspense aspect was important to the story, however I appreciated that it didn’t cause too much unnecessary angst as they were figuring out their feelings/emotions for each other. I believe the suspense helped solidify their relationship.

For lack of better words at this moment, I’ll just say I really loved this book! All the “feels” I look for were there. Jake is definitely on my book boyfriend list.

While “Changing Lanes” can be read as a standalone…..it is the first book in this series (“Ride Along”) that we meet Jake and Lane for the first time. I recommend reading the book first so you will fully appreciate every moment, every aspect and even every character in “Changing Lanes.” We don’t simply just meet Jake and Lane, we actually get a good amount of insight to their characters and what we could expect in their future romance. And this (the timing of my review) is coming at a perfect time for you to read “Ride Along,” book one. For this weekend, you can get it free Dec. 23rd-25th. A wonderful gift from Maren Lee! So visit Amazon for this time sensitive offer. The best part, other than it being free, you’ll have time to read it before “Changing Lanes” releases on January 1, 2017.

Jake is a Bounty County police sergeant and Lane is the public defender that alienates the police dept. All because she doesn’t take nonsense from anyone and is excellent at her job. Jake and Lane start off hating each other but that quickly turns to lust. Then something more. As they work on building a relationship, a case that Lane is working on puts her in danger.

I don’t want to say anything more because you should experience all the thought provoking monologue and witty and honest dialogue for yourselves.

Remember…”Ride Along” will be available for free for only a few days on Amazon. December 23rd-25th. AND “Changing Lanes” releases on New Year’s Day 2017!!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Bear Home For Christmas” Christmas Bear Shifter Romance #1 is by author Araina Hawkes
My Rating: 3.75 Stars

Who wouldn’t fall in love with a sweet, well-mannered, protective and sexy bear shifter? A total Teddy Bear!

Granger Sullivan and Noelle Hollis…..

Granger is finally coming home to work along side his father in the family business. Granger just spent the past five years serving in the military overseas and is happy to be going home for good. He misses his family; his parents and brother. Of course it couldn’t hurt to find his own mate; make his own family. But before his surprise arrival home, Granger finds himself on a quest in search of his runaway brother and bring him home. Granger follows his brother’s trail to the small town of Northwood. On a quick stop in a cafe, instead of finding his brother, Granger finds his mate. Although he is thrilled to find her, he finds himself concerned when he spots her alone at a table and crying.

Noelle grew up an orphan, being moved around from home to home until she was old enough to be on her own. But she was lonely. Very lonely. Noelle spontaneously decides to board a bus and travel to the town where one of her foster families lived. When she arrives at the house only to find out her foster parents long since moved, she is disheartened and feeling even more lonely. Noelle has no where to stay and very little money. To make matters worse, she is alone in a small town just days before Christmas.

Noelle’s situation slowly changes when she meets Granger. She agrees to spend time with him, helping him to search for his brother. As Granger and Noelle spend time together, they become closer. Their attraction grows and more than friendship starts to develop. While Granger knows he and Noelle are destined to be together, he needs to pursue her cautiously.

While Noelle likes Granger more than just a little, she is wary to get her hopes up. She has been on her own for a long time. Could she trust her instincts and take a chance on a happily ever after with Granger? She wants to.

“Bear Home For Christmas” was a sweet story with a touch of sadness brought to the story by Noelle. There is no angst and both Granger and Noelle are likable characters. I enjoyed reading this Christmas romance.

Petra Stevens has had her heart stomped on once and vows it will never happen again. When her former lover and packmate returns to Stone Creek, all the rage and hurt she felt when he’d left comes bubbling to the surface…along with other feelings she can’t control. If she can just avoid him while he’s in town, things will be fine. But fate has other plans…

My Review:

Home for the Howlidays (Montana Wolves, #5)Home for the Howlidays by Chloe Cole

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Home For The Howlidays” Montana Wolves #5 is by author Chloe Cole
My Rating: 3.75 Stars

“Home For The Howlidays” is book five in the Montana Wolves series. This was my first book by Chloe Cole. Although I didn’t read any of the prior books in the series, I had no trouble enjoying it. I would like to read the others as well.

This romance falls under the trope of second chance love.

Nicklaus Maslov and Petra Stevens are both wolf shifters.

Three years ago Klaus left his hometown in Stone Creek, Montana and had no intention of ever returning. Klaus not only left his home but the only woman he ever loved as well. Unfortunately for Klaus, because he was the son of the pack alpha and next in line to take over leading the pack, Klaus was expected to marry within his class. A bride would be chosen for him. That would mean he couldn’t marry the woman he wanted, Petra. So Klaus thought it was best if he left town rather than stay and marry someone else. It would kill him to hurt Petra that way. Of course he hurt her anyway by leaving. Klaus leaving abruptly tore her heart apart.

Three years later, Petra is still hurt and angry over Klaus’ abandonment. And when he returns to town, all those feelings of anger, hurt and sorrow become too strong to bare. Nothing has changed since Klaus left and unless he stands up to his father, nothing will.

Can Klaus and Petra finally have their happily ever after?

These two were a strong couple with more than just strong chemistry between them. I liked experiencing the different emotions that Klaus and Petra brought to the story. I admit I was a bit worried about how things would turn out. There was a lot of hurt and anger to get through. But they did, thankfully.

“Home For The Howlidays” was a quick, sweet story of second chance love and standing up for what you know is right. Although this is a holiday romance, I didn’t get that holiday feel but I liked the story anyway.
