Synopsis:

I broke the cardinal rule and slept with my sister’s best friend.

Granted, I’d just found out that I was now a single father to a three-year-old little girl and was low on willpower.

It should also be noted that there’s been sexual tension between us for years. There’s no way it would be a surprise if anyone in our small town found out. That is if we were telling people, which we’re not.

We’re in agreement to keep our affair a secret, especially since neither one of us do relationships.

You’ve probably figured it out already, but things didn’t go as planned.

My Review: 4 Stars

Oh, how I love the Greene Family! From the first book, I was invested in each character’s happily-ever-after. My Sister’s Flirty Friend is Jed and Molly’s story. To be honest, from the beginning, both these characters were not my favorites. I felt no connection to them. I truly can’t put my finger on one reason why since there were a few. Unfortunately, while I enjoyed the book as a whole, it felt rushed and I was disappointed in how Jed and Molly are moving into their future. That said, my disappointment is based on my preferences; what I look for in a perfect read. I don’t want to say anything that will spoil this story for you. If you have been Jed’s number one fan from the beginning, then I believe you will love this book.

Truthfully, what I loved most about Jed and Molly’s book was Emilia. She, along with the rest of the Greene family assured I would enjoy this latest addition to the Greene Family. So, while I had some issues with the book, I did enjoy revisiting with the Greene Family. And of course, Ethel and Dori’s matchmaking antics are always fun.

As always, I look forward to the next book in the series. If you haven’t read any of this author duo’s book, I suggest you give them a try. Their other family series featuring the Baileys is amazing and a great series to binge.

While I received an advanced reading copy of My Sister’s Flirty Friend, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

In gorgeous Hopley village snow is falling and twinkly lights are going up but Holly Hanwell feels anything but Christmassy…

It’s meant to be the most wonderful time of the year but thirty-year-old Holly Hanwell doesn’t really feel like celebrating… not after the bombshell news her boyfriend is leaving her to have a baby with someone else. So Holly’s organised a quiet Christmas in her cosy little house and plans to avoid the traditional village festivities, and anything resembling a man, at all costs.

That is until she bumps into sexy newcomer Edward. He recently bought Christmas House, at the edge of Hopley, but the renovations on the crumbling building are more than he’d bargained for. Sheltering from the snowy weather in the warm village café, Edward makes Holly laugh over delicious mugs of hot chocolate, topped with cream and sprinkles. Despite the spark between them, Holly knows she needs to protect her already fragile heart and she’s determined NOT to fall in love this Christmas.

But holiday magic works in mysterious ways and they keep crossing paths – at the nativity show, the carols, gift shopping – and then a festive crisis at Christmas House unexpectedly brings them together. Yet just as Holly realises her feelings are growing for handsome but complicated Edward she discovers a secret from his past which makes her question everything she thought she knew about him…

Will Holly and Edward’s December romance be over before it’s begun? Or will this be a Christmas to remember?

A completely addictive, feel-good Christmas read! Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Sarah Morgan and Carole Matthews.

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tracy Rees is a new author to me. I’m happy to have come across this book for several reasons, including I found a new author that appeals to me. Second, I love, love this cover! The artwork is bold and picturesque and very eye-catching. That was in fact what first caught my eye. After reading the synopsis, I new I was definitely going to read this one.

The Little Christmas House was an emotional holiday romance with flawed and lovable characters that I could not help but stand behind and cheer them on to their happily-ever-after. The romance development is slow and careful. Neither Edward or Holly are looking for romance. They are both only trying desperately to enjoy the holiday. Each has their own reasons for why; but with a nudge from unsuspecting characters, Holly and Edward find something much more poignant than Christmas itself.

I don’t want to go into details because you will want to experience this sweet, heartwarming Christmas romance on your own without any spoilers. I will tell you that there is some angst, heartache, wonderful secondary characters, a cleanly written storyline, and a beautiful ending. You truly can’t depend on the synopsis to lead you into this story; there are moments of unsuspecting fun. For me this was a well-rounded Christmas treasure that I would definitely read each year. In addition, The Little Christmas Househas one of my favorite holiday covers!

While I read an advanced reading copy of this book, this is my honest and unbiased revue and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Is she willing to risk her heart on him?

Morgan’s late husband was a daredevil…and now she’s a widowed single mom. All she wants now is to set up a stable life for herself and her son in the small town of Pine Hill, Kentucky.

They both have choices to make about their future…and about each other.

My 📝Review📝: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I enjoyed this book so much that after I finished reading it, I purchased the previous two books in the series. I enjoyed those books as well. Give me a warmhearted, all-the-feels, emotional Christmas romance set in a small town and you’ll find me first in line. I know I’ve said this in so many of my reviews but I’ll say it again….Christmas doesn’t last long enough for me to read all the holiday romances released for the season so I start reading them in September. There are so many wonderful Christmas romances available, it’s impossible to read all the ones I want in one season. But I try anyway.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope was the first book I read from this author. The story has a good reading pace and a slow development of the H/h relationship. When you meet the two protagonists in this book you’ll understand why they each were so careful with protecting their hearts. Hence the reason for keeping a distance. Or at least trying to.

Both Andrew and Morgan were strong characters and while I liked them both, Morgan was a touch standoffish at first. I couldn’t blame her for that, though.

The premise of the story is one that I found interesting however, because of the angsty plot, I wasn’t able to predict what would happen in the end. The ending was good although, I wished there was an epilogue. I wanted to see for myself how things worked out. I hope I’ll get a glimpse of their lives when/if there is another book in the series. And I can promise you that I will be looking out for that in the future.

While I received an advanced reading copy of Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

My 📝Review📝: 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really wish I can give this book more than five stars. While I read so many books that I truly enjoy, The Closer was extra special. Unique and original with characters that are flawed but so, so lovable. Cooper is unsurprisingly sitting at the top of my book boyfriend list. McKinley’s character traits unravel as you read on. At the beginning, I didn’t think I would love her as much as I eventually did. She is something else! She makes you wonder what it would be like to be in her shoes. Mac is strong and independent to a fault. But she was no match for Cooper and his determination to be her hero, even if she ended up being his.

There is so much to love about this book. The writing is perfect in every way. The pace is pretty fast and you will be at the end before you know it. I wanted more. You will cry and be frustrated. You will probably be mad at some point as well. But the best emotion you will experience is laughter. Not only from Mac and Cooper but Pops will have you in stitches. And let’s not get started with that amazing epilogue.

If you only consider one book recommendation from me, this is the book you must read! I promise you won’t be disappointed. This author has gotten better with every book she has written and I anticipate what she’ll write next with eagerness.

While I was given an advanced reading copy of this book, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂

Synopsis:

She’s fallen for her own fantasy…will a real future with him be enough?

Bored by years of underwhelming dating experiences, copywriter Grace McGovern combines her love of Christmas and her longing for romance into the ultimate romance novel—where the heroine is swept off her feet one Christmas by tender, thoughtful, romantic…and utterly unrealistic dates. When Grace has a chance meeting with an attractive man, she’s charmed by their conversation and fun dates…until warning bells jingle. He couldn’t be taking cues from her book, could he?

Engineer Owen Ellis has always been more comfortable with computers and coding than with women. After claiming he was boring and unromantic, his last girlfriend’s bitter parting gift was a cheesy romance book hurled at his head. When he meets a woman whose warm smile and conversation intrigue him, Owen is ready to try again but knows he needs to up his game. What’s the harm in borrowing a few ideas?

Can the Christmas magic last forever, or will their relationship dissolve into another ho-hum holiday fling?

My 📝Review📝: 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Do you know how every once in a while that one book comes along that you know will stay with you for a long time? For me that “book” doesn’t come often enough. Please don’t misunderstand that I am not satisfied with the books I read. Yes, there are some that I could’ve passed on but for the most part I enjoy the majority. That said, that one one special, memorable book is indeed rare. For me, Twelve Dates of Christmas hit that mark. This book was brilliant. Everything I look for in the perfect novel was there within the pages of this book. If you read the blurb, you don’t need me to summarize it for you.

While I did indeed love the premise, it was the characters that completely won me over; especially Owen. Oh. My. Goodness! Where has Owen been my whole life? Why can’t authors write more imperfect, shy, considerate heroes into their stories. We all love the adonis but reading about Owen was a true breath of fresh air. I want more. I fell completely in love with his character. The only disappointment I had with this book was that I wished there was an epilogue. I wanted to see more of Owen and Grace.

Twelve Dates of Christmas is a sweet, endearing, heartwarming and humorous Christmas romance and I highly recommend it! This author is a brilliant storyteller!

He once chose her happiness over his. Can this Christmas be their second chance?

Cassidy Hanna never felt like she belonged in Cape Hope, so she fled town and heartbreak ten years ago for a new life in Manhattan and everything she ever dreamed of—a great job and the perfect boyfriend. Only she’s never felt emptier and more alone. When her beloved grandfather falls ill, she knows she must push aside the past and return home to help.

Letting Cassidy go without a fight was the hardest thing Cape Hope doctor Phoenix Walker had ever done. Even as his own life fell apart, he lied and encouraged her to fly far from home to live out her dreams. Now Cassidy’s back—just for Christmas—and Phoenix wonders if they can have a second chance at a happy ever after…even if it’s just for the holiday.

📝My Review📝: 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I enjoyed this novel very much despite that I found it to be sad for nearly the entire length. This is one of those books where I am being extra careful with my review. How can I articulate my feelings without giving away the plot? I can’t. Christmas Ever After spans years. The author goes back to the past on several occasions which makes the premise even more complex and filled with character depth and development. I read the first book in this series and enjoyed that as well. I found that I have a connection with this author’s writing. While I did not experience what the characters did, she engaged me from the very beginning and I refused to put this book down until I got my happily-ever-after. I wasn’t at all sure of how this book would end due to the angst and behavior of certain characters. Phoenix was a hero I had to love despite his choices that I did not agree with. I’ve never been a fan of a man making decisions in the relationship that HE thinks is best without talking about it with the heroine. People should be able to make their own choices. And here is where I won’t comment about that further. Cassidy is amazing, strong, caring and independent. I admired her a great deal.

I can tell you that this book was beautifully written bringing the characters and town to life where you could feel the presence strongly; you are there in Cape Hope. Lots of twists and turns. A book that is not forgettable.

While I received an advanced reading copy of Christmas Ever After, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
